Andy the event was great and so was the weekend the only let down as usual was Dingo who was a complete pain. He broke my only claypipe with his fat ass, drunk all of our drink on the first night, ate all of Sundays food for breakfast, made even me embarassed by his drill, shat several times in the tent and tried to convince me that the Marines always did sp00ns on cold nights when they shared tents... After a weekend of eating bad food like fried eggs, sausages and burgers the first thing he wanted to do when we left the camp site was to go to a bugerking.... I'm sending his Mrs a child minding bill for the weekend with damages. omfg, sp00ns is in the swear filter...

Huh! didn't you get to try any of the bag bread pudding? or the Jugged rabbit? or the Oatmeal Pud! Maybe I won't take the long and arduous, not to say dangerous journey, across the lines to bring you samples next time! :-) ;D It was an excellent weekend! Best, Judith

Biffa If you sort your gaiters out I promise I will get your photo in Outpost and not publish anymore of Dingo!
Are you sure that you and Dingo are not secret lovers - you certainly bicker like an old married couple - all weekend - non stop - endlessly - forever...
Glad everyone enjoyed the weekend - the weather was indeed good to us. For those of you who remember the nightmare that was Sherborne 2007 I have just heard that our friends in Association of Crown Forces did Sherborne this year and the rain was so bad the event had to be abandoned at 8.00am on Bank Holiday Monday morning!
Those of you who took the chance to explore the woods at Bentley will realise what a fantastic opportunity they offer for a woodland battle next year. The organiser at Bentley seems interested and the PA man says he can get sound down into the wood - so keep your fingers crossed for what could be a real classic weekend if it all comes together.
We should all take some pride with what we achieved over the weekend. The skirmishes were excellent and even though we fielded just 28 men it is amazing what you can do with a good script and a lot of enthusiasm. In fact I am convinced our skirmishes are more entertaining to watch than those put on by some societies far bigger in numbers than ours. Hoorah for us!!
Salut! La Plume

Just thought I better mention that the attack on the kiddies log house and play swings by the Rangers didn't go unnoticed by our spies. We know you were using it for special forces training...
