Ok, a postal strike in London has delayed me receiving Outpost and the Warning Orders back from printing. Hopefully they will now go in the post on Wed. 2nd Sept.
Salut!

Great Anniversary event, perfect end to the season, amazing crowd (3000+). Sorry to anyone I didn't managed to say bye to when it was time to pack up.
Nice job event team! Send me a pm and I'll give you an address if anyone has any pictures for the gallery.

Hi everyone
You probably all got the idea that I was pretty stressed over the weekend - but now it is all over, clearly it was perfect. Everything we wanted from the event was achieved.
The point I finally knew it would be alright was during Sunday's battle when the French fired their first volley - at a very long range - and two redcoats went down. It looked so realistic, and I just knew at that point we'd carry it off. Brilliant.
What an audience, what a cheer after the first British volley, what a round of applause at the end. Never heard anything like it.
Thanks everyone.

I have been told I shouldn't write a whole heap about Westerham in Outpost as others will be doing that for me. So a quick list of thanks to Abbo, Paul M, Mike Todd for all the rounds (Viv and Morgan for putting up with him making all the rounds!) Ian, Colin, Tom and Chris manning the Quebec house stand, all the guards, all those who generously became French, NCO's who ran the battles smoothly, colour parties and basically every single member as everyone pulled together, managed a busy schedule and made foreign re-enactors feel welcome. I think the good repercussions from this will continue for a long while, Well done!!

Great Pictures; pity I never got chance to have a look around the house (old people kept talking at me)! The models look quite nice... does anyone have any close ups?

What i want to know is what blithering fool managed to let poor old Wolf get shot AGAIN...!?!?!?! 1.bp.blogspot.com/_Xnqe6ELe_us/Sq9Y2PQ7aeI/AAAAAAAAAus/c8Dn6SxJhWk/s1600-h/Wolf+Quebec+250+156.jpgI mean its not like you didn't know what was going to happen, history books always being a bit of a clue and all that. Could have hidden him behind a tree, got fellows to stand in front of him, put a blanket over him, but no, had to go and let him cop it again...........i don't know....sigh..! anyhoo, looks a splendid event and one that i missed out on there, too busy on the grand tour of Italy, really must attempt some event attendance now that i am returned.....is this year over now then..??
