I agree, Painshill really nice -I suspect I may have been there on the same weekend as Andy! If I remember correctly, the hill offers a kind of amphitheatre effect so it'd be really good from the audience's perspective. On the downside, it is a very big hill, and our wee group may look a little lost! Lots of really interesting cover though, so plenty of scope for North American shenanigans!
Hopefully less warm than the last time I went...scorchio!

Spiceman has been to Painshill and selected a site for us, so it may not be what you have used before. I hope to get down there soon to take a look at it from the point of view of scenario planning.

It is in Stamford itself - event sourced through ECWS as Steve says - Stamford Festival of History - it will be a small multi-period, about five groups I believe.
