Hi, all,
Great event although the rain stopped too much hospitality on the Sat.-I think the groups became as large as the canvas would allow:-) So sorry I didn't get to talk to as many as I would like to but it was really nice that several came and introduced themselves to Jane and myself while we were camp sitting
Many, Many, Many thanks to all those who helped throw the last of my stuff in the car (Even Mr King who lost half my palliasse stuffing ) Got home far too late to even contemplate clearing a bit of the car but thankfully I'm on leave today so might get it clear, too many people helped so I have no idea of names even if I knew them but it really was appreciated, thanks again.
My shelter worked really well, no leaks (the rain was not blowing in so even with an open end nothing inside got wet) and comfortable nights on the straw palliasse (and quiet after I changed the earplugs) now I have to work on the oil cloth for the open end for events with driving rain.
The tent layout seemed to work for the military types, although you did look a bit squashed? and we didn't get many visitors(public) up to us, partly because of Pete and Claire's Ranger tent (with very cute and photogenic baby Maisie) inbetween and the orientation of our sun shelter, but those we did get seemed to appreciate what we were doing.
Unfortunately I can't be at the Gunpowder Mills- prior event planned but I hope everyone has a good time there.
Best,
Judith
