Hi Everyone
Just thought I'd let everyone know the good news - our friends the Iroquois from Germany have confirmed that that WILL be coming to the Hop Farm again for our first event of the year. This is fantastic news and anyone who was there last year will know what an impact they make on our whole display.
So, let's all make a big note in our diaries to 'Be there or Be Alistair'! Three days, three battles - 29th April - 1st May Bank Holiday Weekend.

I just wish it wasn't that weekend- booked up for posh event at Clandon (with Andy B & Lucy too) since last year, and as I'm event organiser (for Clandon) I can't do the Sat. at the Hop Farm
Never mind I should make Sherborne Castle!
Best,
Judith

La Plume is obviously wanting us to get there a week prior to those nindians arrival to prepare some surprises for them, lots of earthworks, hidden pits....someone's got to dig them well done La Plume for volunteering, we shall look forward to seeing them on the May holiday of the 5th-7th May! If you do a good job we'll hold a special thingytail for you at Trumpets! Happy Digging! ;D

AARRGGHHH!!!!
Sorry, sorry, sorry. As you have all spotted I have published the wrong date for the Hop Farm. It is - as some have already pointed out - the Bank Holiday Weekend - 5th, 6th,7th May.
And what's more I put the wrong date in the last issue of Outpost too - but no one seems to have spotted that...
Clearly I am losing my touch - I will punish myself later!!

Typical big baggy panted french fellow, can't work out a Gregorian calender, i don't know. well i suppose its easy to win battles if you show up on the wrong day and just claim the ground due to a no show from the British forces who you forgot to advise which day you would actually be showing up yourself, isn't it.

The presence of the NFOE at the Hop Farm was noted- I spent the ferry journey back to the Island (after LW event) with a medieval re-enactor and two ACW guys- The ACW guys had just been to the Hop Farm and were heading to the Island for a holiday- (the medieval guy lives over here)
Interestingly the two ACW guys have Roger's Rangers kit, know Tom Brown (who doesn't:-)) but are too involved in ACW to be able to come to NFOE events when there are clashes with Soscan events:-(( Hope I persuaded them to keep in touch with NFOE anyway.
Hope you all had as good a time at the Hop Farm as I did playing posh at Clandon.
See you soon,
Judith
