Hi Any of you who aren't members of Lace Wars already are invited to Wimpole Hall in May. Check the LW web site www.lacewars.co.uk for details. If you want to come you need to contact me, have the right kit (or we can lend some out), and want to have a good time. Ask the 36th or those French chaps what a LW gig is like. Hi tod
Would love to come, unfortunately I will be taking on the Frogs at Albuera in Spain that weekend.
Am hoping to get down to Cliveden in September to have a look as that is in my neck of the woods.

Hi,
I'd like to extend that to anyone who can offer 'farmyard skills' at Wimpole Hall as the civilians (non-posh) will have the use of the farmyard -that's right Tod isn't it? to demonstrate spinning, butter-making, shepherding etc. and a few more people down there with Span and Steve and myself would be good!
Check kit first please (although we do have a bit of loaner kit- jackets, caps etc. especially as some of us will be doing posh civilians) and it would be good if we knew what you might like to 'do'- no sitting around :-) we will be living history as much as we can but if someone would like to talk about/demonstrate any civilian living history activity- with relation to 1740's England- we will accomodate you with pleasure.
This is provisional until Tod says yes!-and I'd better check with Alison of the MM as well!
Best wishes,
Judith

All those who want to go have to be approved by me as Chairman of Lace Wars and event organisor, not the Mannered Mob - for the record. Yes there is use of the farm yard etc and yes it is 18th century, not modern. By the way you'll also get fed!
