I would just like to say how impressed i was by the newly formed unit that turned up at Sherborne, Yes the French elite snorkel and underwater manoeuvre unit were a sight to behold .

Indeed, Green's Rangers are a real asset for NFOE. Not only do they look the part, but they are a pleasure to work with, they are organised and appear to remain constantly happy!!
Can we order another couple of units from the same mould please!!

La Pong of onions, Heres me being serious just for once.
I have to say it, This event has to go down as one of the most inspiring acts of bravery in the name of re enactment by the people that managed to survive both nights in what can only be described as hell on earth. And the French who were as frozen and soaked as the rest of the people who were there both nights, even managed a drill display in front of the crowd prior to the scirmish at the end of the day. I've seen big bad Vikings run away home after a bit of a shower and other gangs fold and go home because it was a bit cold, but if there was a medal for furthering the cause of the re enactor then all the people who survived the battle of Sherborne mound should surely get one each...............splendid stuff i reckon.
