Just been checking out Rockingham's site. There is talk of a booking form for participants. Is this for each person ,family, unit or society. That bit is a bit unclear. We would like to know in time. You may have guessed by now, we are coming ;D , Ferry is booked and we don,t want to run the risk of being turned away.

That's news to me - I presume it means that groups must have been booked to take part. Can you send me the link to the webpage because I can't find it on their site. Certainly the organisers have not said anything along those lines to NFOE so I am sure it will be just turn up as usual.

Ok thanks. Clearly that is for societies and not individual members. I will make sure that Will/Colin are aware of this though.

Redders, the French that you call frogs, are actually very, very, good at what they do, I doubt you'll find anyone else in re enactment circles that put as much effort into getting it right, as the French do. I've seen them get up the next day from being bashed to hell by a storm, to find all their gear soaked and tents on the floor and still do a drill display for the public before all taking to the field. They also spend a massive amount of their own time, finding us all gigs to play at.
So a smiley face at the end of a statement is usually a good idea.

Since you're normally the first person to start singing: 'Runaway......................Runaway' I'd have thought you'd have understood my flippent, non offensive, comment. But, for the sensative among you.................. My Apologies. Incidentally, I'd never slander the good boys and gals from this forum as I agree, they do a d**n good job. Plus I totally enjoy gigging with them too.

Fearless? / Is that Frog for Cowardly? A brave man does not worry about standing in the line, but a wise man has enough sense to get out of the hail of lead. He who turns and runs away lives to shoot another day. It's frontier tactics - not something the sheep standing shoulder to shoulder really get a grip on..... Anyway, to answer Will's question. Sadly not I'm afraid - other commitments

Hi Al, although it's the guys in the smart uniforms that do a majority (okay, all) of the hard work it's nice to actually be appreciated once in a while. Those of us who joined the Marines originally had no intention of doing anything French or Canadian. However it soon became clear that unless someone did there would be no one to fight (and where would be the fun there) so we bit the bullet and went Canadian. TTFN Andy But, for the sensative among you.................. My Apologies. No worries dufus, we kind of get used to it. Anyway, it's not like we're revolutionary French

Sorry, I know you asked for afirmatives but this is a negative- previous committments at posh Clandon Park for me.
On behalf of other non-email people I know that Andy B intends to be there (so that's an affirmative!)
Span also has other committments (Avoncroft I believe!) therefore a negative
Not sure about Steve (Thompson) but he does have family/petrol issues at present. so that's a 'don't rely on him!'
Best,
Judith

The three of us will be there, unless there are ferry problems.
