I'm not sure actually, I think we might have to pay the message board providor for that sort of functionality. If you collect all your bits together you can submit them to Ian and we will put it in the articles section on the main site.

Does anyone know of any sutlers who do uniform and equipment of the European armies, particularly Prussia? I have searched some of the German websites, but found nothing, though my German is a little rusty. If not are there any websites about Prussian uniform, so that I could convert the jp ryan pattern to them?
This is just for interests sake, but would like to know if anyone knows of groups which represent the European battles in the UK.

K8 we have contact details for the Hessian in Germany, you could ask Paul or Andy and i'm sure they would give you as much help as they could on the subject.....very good people. Contact me on dinda.al@btinternet.com and i'll let you have Pauls address. would rather pass out private contacts off the site.

I don't think we do unless Ian has one but if you look at the suppliers section of the board we get our patterns from fleur de lys. I think it comes with a pattern for breeches too and costs about £20ish

Fire and Smoke do them Looks a lot like a short coat that the Jacobite wore, some where I saw it called a hunting coat (?). I also think there is a leather one of a similar style in the Kyoto museum. So leather gators and short coat, buck skin breeches Did they use buck skin then?

The French one is technically a sleeved waistcoat....the hunting jacket would normally have lapels that could be buttoned over(like a short version of a British Redcoat)....European troops tended to wear their sleeved waistcoats as summer campaign dress(note..Most French troops wore Blue)...British waistcoats being sleeveless,we had to "make-do" for Light inf by attaching coat sleeves to the waistcoat leaving the remnants of the coat for use over it when it turned chilly!
