Hello,
my name is Pierre-François - I'm a marketing assistant at Ageod, a video
game company. I'm getting in touch with as many re-enactors as possible, as
we have just released a PC strategy game called "Birth of America", based on
the most important American conflicts of the 18th century: the French Indian
war and the American Revolutionary war.
This PC strategy game might be of great interest to you and all of your
friends. “Birth of America” was released in February 2006. It is a grand
strategy game, spanning the years 1755 to 1783, which gives players the
opportunity to control the destiny of the nations involved. The goal of the
game is to achieve military and political victory in either the French &
Indian War or the War of Independence.
We are deeply interested in involving the living history community; to reach
this aim, we show our products to all re-enactment groups, and we invite you
to take a look at our website,
www.birth-of-america.com/english/index.html. On this website, besides
a demo, you will be able to find a more comprehensive description of the
game, order a boxed version of the game or purchase a digital version via
download, find the latest news, as well as a forum. Feel free to ask us
questions; our staff and the members of the BoA community will be delighted
to help you enjoying the game. New message boards about history and military
history will soon be available on our website, it would be most interesting
if some of you decided to talk with us about these topics.
Could you please tell me what you think about the game ? Are you interested
in purchasing such a product ?
Yours sincerely
Pierre-François Verheyde - marketing assistant and history addict ;-)

P.S: also, Would you be interested in advertising our game on your website ?
It is very easy to do this, it consists in placing a banner on your website.
It's a product about history -not an ad about a new car model...-, so that
it is coherent to do advertising for such products. ;-)
