Ey up! Should ye be confined during this month of showers avoiding the chill, I have a few warming suggestions...! I expect many of you have already cottoned-on to this one, but just in case you miss out... the author of 'Jack Absolute' (methinks it's C.C. Humpheries, or am i confused with Flashman?! Don't know), published a new book detailing the adventures of the heroic Rev War buck during the F&I Wars. For peeps who did read the first book, based on the play by Sheridan, 'The Rivals,' the second (though obviously set earlier) book entitled 'The Blooding of Jack Absolute', is a hoot! Duels over courtesans, ambushing Frenchies on the Plains of Abraham, friendly natives etc. the book's a nice light read with plenty of garter-ripping, petticoat-ruffling fun!!! Phew! Methinks the mere thought of such revelry may make any poor lassie blush at the sight of handsome thingyed hat, and shapely breech-clad leg!!! And if that's not enough fer ya, being rather a fan of 18th lit...of the 'Grub Street' calibre of course, may I recommend John Cleland: 'Francis Hill, Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure'...warning, not for the feint-hearted, nor genteel of disposition! By-eck, lots of fun! Not that I'm particularly well-acquinted with Georgian pornography you understand...study purposes only...! Enjoy! x
