I'm looking for an off the peg or made fast shirt, and one of the LW lasses is looking for a shift to go with a riding habit. The later is the same style as a mans shirt. Can any one point me in the right direction? By the way I do have patterns but I don't have time.

Why not speak to Lizzie? They do disappear to Germany tomorrow, til Tuesday but you could leave her a message to pick up. Not sure how busy or her lead in time at the moment, though but would be worth asking

If Ange has a shift that she wore at Jason's wedding that would be ok surely ?

Hi,
Tod is looking for someone to make a habit shirt- very like a man's shirt- to go with a riding habit. Ordinary shifts are not the best style, too low cut a neckline and often too short in the sleeves for the more tailored cut of an 18th century woman's riding habit.
Best,
Judith

I would like to point out that it's not me wearing the riding habit! I found some nice white line at the week end £6.50/mtr. So I think Ange will have to make one. I have a shirt pattern.

That's just as well. I was beginning to worry, what with planing to get government plaid, it was a two candle and a big biscuit tin time ;D
