Nice to see a bit of advertising! If you see the new BBC History Magazine there is a nice picture of the Artillery and a listing for this event so hopefully we will see a lot of public!

Hope to see a good turnout at Gilbert White's this coming weekend. Just in case any of you want to do a little reading up before the event - our scenario will be based around the 'Jumonville Incident' when the dastadly George Washington fired the first shots of the F & I War.
See you at the weekend.

We (the Mannered Mob) had a good time too, thanks,
We even created a new dance 'Selborne' (to the tune 'white cabbages' if anyone was interested) and in the spirit of the colonies even the servants were dancing ;-)
Best,
Judith

I was pleased with the way the 'Jumonville' scenario worked out. It is always a bit worrying when you're sitting at home working on these things, wondering if they will come together on the day. But I think that one worked and the audience seemed to enjoy it. Thanks everyone for playing your part.
All in all I think it was a really good weekend - and very varied too with the Show 'n' Tell, children's drill, trapball challenge. oh, and the skirmishes too. And of course it was great to work with Mannered Mob again, who added even more to the overall presentation by developing scenarios that extended beyond the House, linking the indoor world with the great outdoors!
And if you weren't there - well, you missed a lot of fun.
Right, time to start planning for Bath.... I have a scenario up my sleeve!
