For any NFOE members who are interested, Event Plan contacted me today with news of a pirate event "We are organising a (high quality) pirate show at Gloucester docks on the 25th and 26th. As you can see from the latest timetable (attached) there's some very good performers/groups coming, but we could always do with some more C18th types to play pirates, sailors or civvies. We would particularly like to hear from anyone willing to help with the storming of the pirate ship (the 47th are lending fire support to this). There's a warm hall available for overnighters and a similarly warm "time out" room at the docks with tea/coffee etc. And being a dock, there's no mud! We have some money in the kitty for expenses too. We are rather playing fast and loose with the "time line" (we have from late C17th to HMS in Nelsonian garb) but no-one seems to mind. It should be a lot of fun and a good end of season event for those who fancy it." This isn't an NFOE event but as we are known as quality 18th C its only natural we get an invite! If anyone is interested please contact event plan through their website at www.eventplan.co.uk/
