Sounds good ding!
Just to clarify this is what we did at Geoff's place last year and so is subject to his limits of space/time etc, depends what his ideas are. NFOE and LW I think are going to do something in the training vein at Coventry this year so you should be able to get your fix somehow redders!

I know about the Rough Close Bash.
I recall talking with Geoff about it at Westerham. Just couldn't recall the details. (I may have a had a cider of 5 by then??)

T.B.A.
It was a lot of hassle last time moving my Mrs out with two babies for the weekend and making arrangements, plus the cost in browny points, when she found out that only two members of NFOE actually turned up she thought it was a total waste of time and poorly supported, despite the weather. Also we didn't get any new recruits from the two guests who came.
I do have to agree with her about the support but I disagree regards it being a waste of time, it was an amazing weekend never to be forgotten and probably never to be matched regards weather and the evocative atmosphere.
As a result of the above I'd like to try again and arrange another because it is doable and a nice idea for the society. I think inviting the Brits will ensure a more reliable and colourful turn out.
I'll talk to Ding (when he answers his phone next) and the Boss (when I have positive browny points again) and get back to you.

Does anyone have some pics from last time that they wouldn't mind seeing in print: I need some pictures of snowy French types for an article I'm workin on for Skirmish. Cheers, Andrew

I took none (apart from 3 with an slr in the garden drill bit), Dingo and Will took them all. Dingo screwed up the quality while saving them onto his pc and Will said that none of his looked any good??? BUT! If you look two topics down from this there's a thread called 'Pictures from the French Winter Warmer' Anyway here's the link to the low quality gif showing them all. www.preciouscreative.co.uk/s/winterwarm09run5.gif

"If you look two topics down from this there's a thread called 'Pictures from the French Winter Warmer' " Yup, I know. I was kind of hoping that someone would say, "Oh, I took those and of course you can use them" If anyone wants to email me any, use andrewbamforduk[at]yahoo.co.uk

Sorry in the process of moving house at the mo. Just had another look through them all. The only good one of marines has them all looking at Dingo's camera! All the rest definately not good enough for an article as they were done with the zoom on my phone cam which is pants. I do have pics of the wargame we played which I'm sure Skirmish readers would be fascinated by
