Hope everyone enjoyed that. I thought the skirmishes worked rather well. And is was great to have support from Lace Wars members to swell the ranks. And I think all of us who joined in the Jacobite skirmish had a great time too. It's not often two societies can work so closely together. Well done everyone. Hope you all had a good time. If you keep an eye on these two websites you should see plenty of photos of the event pop up in the next few days. www.livinghistorypix.comwww.redzebraphoto.co.ukSalut! La Plume

Want Guyenne pics for the website, the ones I've seen of them at this event look great! Amazing what you can achieve by loaning bits of the same uniform to multiple people! Why does Dave always look better in my kit than I do?

Just to respond to Ian's message, I'd like to pass on a huge thankyou from Dillon's to all the Artillerie and Marines who came and fought with us over the weekend. Having thirteen French line on the field on Saturday, and eleven on Sunday, was amazing and something that we definately ought to repeat. I assume that both societies will be back at Blasts next year, so I reckon that's a date, but everyone's more than welcome to come as guests of Dillon's to any Lace Wars event that takes your fancy. I also know that a couple of the Dillon's lads are now looking at getting Guyenne or Marine kit to do more NFOE musters, based on having enjoyed the skimishes this last weekend, so the forces of Louis XV seem to be going from strength to strength. So, anyway, hurrah for all that and a big thankyou again.
