Another excellent event, much enjoyed by everyone. Ok, it was wet on Friday night and at times on Saturday morning but it was all pretty clear by Saturday midday and all parts of our display went ahead more or less bang on schedule. And on Sunday it was genuinely sunny - a rare moment in this re-enactment year.
Of course our sympathy goes out to those NFOE members who went to 'Quelle Marsh'. Hope they didn't suffer too much in the flood. And a special thanks to Ian Walker-Spicer. He planned to go to Kelmarsh but got turned away. Instead of returning home he turned his car for Painshill and joined us there! Good man.
Ok, we've all got a little break now so I expect everyone will be raring to go by the time Broadlands comes around. See you then.
