It was excellent especially as I was the only one to repeatedly hit a target at 50 yards whilst Will and Dingo got musket balls stuck down the barrels of their M1728s and Geoff's Bess refused to fire at all. Oh how they laughed. Will somehow managed to win the wargame in freezing conditions inside Geoff's shed. Most of this was done in a booze fuelled haze with plenty of belching and farting from Will and Dingo. I'm definitly joining NFOE after this weekend but I can't understand why you Andy would switch sides and join the English.

Sounds fantastic - hopefully something Geoff will repeat. but I can't understand why you Andy would switch sides and join the English. I haven't I do British in Napoleonics, as a right old Queen. (16th, or Queen's, Light Dragoons) www.16ld.orgUnfortunately this is my concept, (as a former 15th Hussar) so I have to give it my undue attention this year what with new people who know nothing about Napoleonic re-enacting. Still, they can now go from column of sub-divisions to line on the right without inverting the line, so I am happy ps And I can out-fart Will and Dingo COMBINED..!!

For those who want to (or not!) read about this weekend there will be a write up in next issue of Outpost, available to all good NFOE members!

Haha, the company fixing my machine have switched my hd over to a temporary machine until they get the spare parts, anyway means I'm online..... after weeks of cold turkey.
I know it's now old news but that weekend was a blinder, I have to honestly say it was brilliant fun, far better than I could have imagined, the snow just made it, I was tripping over and tripping out. Imagine:
In full kit in deep snow with our own valley under a full moon surounded by woods and live firing, oh my god, that has to be one of my most favourite afternoon/evenings ever...
...almost as amazing as laying naked on a sun drenched private beach with your hands down the bikini tops of two hots girls drinking vodka redbulls!
Almost... ...but not quite, what are the chances of a group planning a weekend and timing it so perfectly with that amazing snow?
Some stunning pictures to follow, no not of the hot girls, the weekend silly.

Well I have some pictures that have just been developed, I'm hoping to add some of the amazing ones on Dingo's CD once I get my proper machine back (yup still bloody waiting). These are shots just from the Saturday morning drill in the back garden which aren't bad, the best are yet to come of the rest of the weekend, i.e. firing in the valley etc. I'll probably retouch these for use in the Marine section of the website. Should be getting my fixed machine tomorrow, finger's crossed. Anyway... I worked out that the chances of the day in the back garden actually looking like the snowy picture shown at the beginning of this thread was 1 in 5840! Anyway the mrs and kids looking at the garden before the mob arrived. Then they did! Snowboyz are comin' Almost a fort in the background, well a fairy garden house at any rate. Scary aren't we? Grrrrrrr! Or should we say Brrrrrrr! I'll upload the rest hopefully in the next couple of days.
