Is anyone aware of a reasonable, fireable second-hand Bess for sale? If so, might it be available for the Powder Mills weekend?

Hi Chaps,
We are about to add Suppliers to the new website which is under construction at the moment. If any of you out there know of other suppliers of anything be it books or uniforms then we want to know. Especially if you are a reference to their quality, delivery and cost.
This will help a lot towards our New Members Pack which will be distributed to the membership next year.
Ta,
Steve.

Califer Books, God awful and surley service! Shame about that being a UK seller GG Godwin, ordered twice from there now and both times were very friendly and quick Fleur de Lys, helpful but send stuff by surface mail so it takes ages so plan ahead with them.

Yes, I suspect Paul was really born in 1620, as you really cant know as much as he does about the 17th century unless you actually lived in the period..........oh, hang on, he does live in the period. I really like him, he's inspired me on several occasions. Righto, off to build a full scale merchantman and sail it in the duck pond, might need a bigger duck pond me thinks.
I am looking for 18th Century carpentry books on milling and steam bending processes for the period, i've got a few already, but need to know a couple of specific details and you never know which book is going to give you the gumph.... any ideas anyone..??

Now Wooded Hamlet have ceased trading I've been looking for another source for good tapes and laces: Hazel & Paul thingyfoss at trading as William Booth, Draper www.wmboothdraper.comwho do tapes and laces as well as good patterns (JPRYAN, Kannik'sKorner, Mil, Farm etc.) and hard to get fabrics like wool flannel and linsey-woolsey as well as the essential books (whatever shall I wear, Tidings, Fitting & proper, plain & fancy etc.) and other thingstoo numerous to mention. Excellent service and friendly emails. Best, Judith Also www.burnleyandtrowbridge.com an American sutler with excellent record in the States have good patterns- they own the Mill Farm line and sell the other good pattern lines as well, their website is expanding to include all their products. The exchange rate is pretty good at the moment ;D
